It’s that time of year again where we find ourselves
frantically planning
holiday parties with our girlfriends and reaching into our closets for
those little black dresses and delicate sequin jackets.
This year, instead of just serving classic favorites like
Cosmos and Mojitos at your festive gatherings, get uber creative and give your
guests and something truly mesmerizing to enjoy throughout the evening! These
drinks are sure to leave
a lasting impression on all of your friends.
Red Hot Santa-Tini- This
zesty concoction can transform the dreary winter into a sultry extravaganza.
Dust off those martini glasses, throw on your favorite pair of heels, and get
serving this drink, which is perfect for any spicy flavor enthusiast!
Rim your martini glasses with cocoa powder infused with a
snippet of cayenne pepper, shake together two ounces of Mazama vodka and two
ounces of Godiva chocolate liqueur per cocktail and pour into glass. Top your
scrumptious cocktail off with a tiny bed of whipped cream and garnish with
a small chili pepper!
Happy Elf-
There’s just something magical about sipping a citrus infused martini while
watching the wind and snow blow around outside. This lovely blend will have you
and your guests fooled into thinking that you’re actually on a tropical getaway
instead of being trapped indoors by a snowstorm.
Combine one ounce of melon liqueur, 2 ounces of your choice
of citrus flavored vodka, and an ounce of white cranberry juice together per
cocktail. Shake vigorously in an ice-filled shaker, strain into a cocktail
glass, and add a few delicious cherries. Now you’ve brought a piece of paradise
to your apartment!
Christmas Blossom- Who
says that blenders are just for crafting summer cocktails? Give the traditional
frozen daiquiri a bit of a ‘face lift’ this season with the cheerful Christmas
Blossom.
Slice two cups of fresh or frozen peach slices, mix in ¼ cup
of sugar, ¾ cup of any vodka of your choice, and three tablespoons of peach
schnapps. Blend until smooth and then add ice. Blend ice, pour into glasses and
garnish with a few fresh mint sprigs! This refreshing cocktail is sure to jazz
up any holiday event!
Champagne Pomegranate
Cocktail- There’s not a color that appears more throughout the holiday
season than red. You can never go wrong with champagne
cocktails at any social gathering.
Grab a good-sized pitcher from your kitchen cabinet and
combine four cups of crushed ice, two cups of pomegranate juice, ½ cup of
ginger ale (opt for diet for fewer calories) ¼ cup brandy of your choice, and
one 750ML bottle of champagne or sparkling wine of your choice. Pour about one
cup of the champagne mixture into each class and garnish with pomegranate seeds
for an extra festive effect. This recipe will make eight glasses, but double the
amounts for larger groups.
Try any of these creative cocktails at your next seasonal
party and your guests will be talking about more than just your new apartment
or fantastic outfit! Serve up, sip slowly, and mingle with the people that mean
the most to you!
